Cook/Personal Assistant – Dublin, Southern Ireland
This is a great job for a sporty, calm & older sibling type figure with a passion for food who enjoys cooking.
You will be part of a fantastic family with 2 Sons 15 & 17 years old (who love rugby & football), living 30 minutes walk outside Dublin City Centre.
The family employ 2 Housekeepers so no heavy cleaning is required although you will need to make sure the house is organised & tidy up after yourself.
The general working hours are Monday to Friday 7.00am to 7.30pm with a few hours break in the middle to go to the gym or follow your own interests. Flexibility is required which will include on occasions staying at the weekend or midweek when both the parents are away.
A confident driver is required, a car is provided for your use.
Although the position is based predominantly in Ireland the family also have a home in Portugal so it would be advantageous if you are willing to accompany the family there in the summer & skiing in the winter.
My client would consider either a live in or live out employee if they live within easy commuting distance to Blackrock.
The job is to start ASAP.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role will involve preparing interesting dishes for a family with 2 hungry teenagers & special dietary requirements. The eldest son has various food allergies such as nuts, fish eggs & kiwi fruit & the Father a Coeliac.
In addition to cooking the duties will include; some general administration, booking, organizing the boys such as following their school activities, transporting them when needed, to sports events etc,making sure they are organized in the mornings with their books, sports gear, uniforms.
Generally the boys use public transport to go to & from school but you will need to drive them from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience cooking for private households.
Verifiable references for cooking, household coordination & working with teenagers.
Be familiar with overseeing teenagers.
Confident driver & full driving licence.
Passport/Visa to work legally in Southern Ireland
Fluent English required & knowledge of Irish would be preferred.

Fantastic self contained flat with kitchen & sitting room is provided for a live in employee although applicants with their own accommodation within commuting distance will be considered.
